1992 Nissan Primera eGT review from UK and Ireland
"An excellent driver's car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This was our second Primera 2.0eGT. The first one we bought was new, but had been stolen three years later. Therefore we bought a second hand Primera 2.0eGT. This one used to belong to a car hire company and I was suspicious of it having been a stolen recovered due to the different keys for the boot and ignition, but it was clear on the HPI check.
Due to the history of the car it did suffer from some problems such as a bent wishbone and the CV joints had to be replaced. Also the driver's side electric window mechanism had to be replaced.
General comments?
This car is a serious driver's car. It has an excellent driving position. Although it looks bland it is definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Only problems with it are that the engine revs so high that there is no torque at low revs, which make it a bit annoying to drive at times. It would have been better if the steering wheel was smaller and had a lower turns lock to lock ratio.
