1994 Toyota Corona Select Saloon review from Malaysia
"Nice, big family car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump leaking when purchased. Replaced under dealer's warranty.
LHS front door lower trim came off.
Knocking noise from the front suspension / steering (can't isolate the problem).
Headlights have turned yellowish. Toyota dealer says they need 1 month or more to order from Japan.
General comments?
Car is quite powerful for a 1.6 litre. Compared to my previous car, that is.
Steering is light and responsive.
Parts easy get. Same engine as a Toyota Corolla (AE101,111).
Fitted 195/60 series tyres to improve the ride comfort.
Dashboard is dark brown in colour and looks cheap.
