1974 Volvo 244 DL review from Netherlands
"The bargain of my life!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing went wrong. It's an old car so I had to give attention to: brakes, radiator, fan, caburateur and all kind of cables.
Now I'm facing new rust. The Netherlands is a rainy country.
General comments?
Comfortable car.
Very cheap:
Only $200 for full insurance; no taxes, because it's older than 25 years (else $1500 a year for such a heavy car); drives also on LPG-gas.
No parking-problems in narrow citystreets like Amsterdam, because of the tight radius of the wheels of less than 10 metres.
On the freeway it's always fun. The car easily drives up to 140 km/hour.
