1989 Mitsubishi Galant GLSi review from UK and Ireland
"A real good investment"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electronic control unit failed this year, however was able to obtain a second hand one for £150 and the car is as good as ever.
Some plastic trim is starting to break, however this may be to do with abuse from children.
Original exhaust and brakes lasted for years, but replacement ones wear a lot quicker.
Never a MOT failure yet and I have had the car 11 years.
Tappets rattle a lot now, however once driving they go quiet.
Cassette player has failed after 10 years.
General comments?
The car has given me years of luxury motoring and to replace it would cost a fortune, so long as it starts and drives and stays reliable I shall keep it.
Fantastic engineering.
Shame nobody does a manual for the car.
