1997 Jeep Wrangler review from North America
"I was on a first name basis with AAA"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission went bad at 5000 miles. Dealer took a week and a half to fix it.
Motor mounts came loose at 8000 miles.
Tranmission went bad again 11000.
Passenger seat broke, trim around the wheel wells peeled off.
Engine had valve problems.
All of these things were fixed very slowly by the dealer under warranty.
Once it was all fixed and working, I sold it before it could break down again.
General comments?
Ugh! Piece of crap! I had it for about a year and a half, and it spent at least a month in the shop. I was not expecting much in the way of ride comfort, just a fun second car. It was fun if you like getting rides in the tow truck.
It left me stranded twice in a year and a half.. sheesh!
I'm sorry I ever traded in my Nissan Pathfinder.
