2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS review from North America
"Chevy did their homework!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the vehicle yet, nor would I expect it to with 4,500 miles on it.
General comments?
After have previously owning 2 Blazers, I was anxious to find out about this new Trailblazer. Boy was I glad I did. This vehicle is the real deal! A nice compromise between the Blazer and Tahoe, the Trailblazer offers the power of the Tahoe (270 hp), but the ride like that of a Honda Accord. Yes, I said Honda Accord. This thing is smooth, more than adequate room on the inside, and nothing has been overlooked on this SUV. You don't feel like you are going to tip when going hard into a corner.
I have already taken the Trailblazer on 2 trips and the highway ride is impressive. When comparing to the Explorer, it isn't even close. The V8 in the Explorer offers 31 less horsepower, more than 2000 lbs less towing capacity, and interior room is bigger in almost every capacity on the Trailblazer.
Simply put, Chevy did their homework. I got the LS package which is generously equipped. I elected for the On-Star package as well which I highly recommend. Go drive one, I guarantee you will be impressed. You should be since the sister to the Trailblazer, the Envoy, is the Motor Trend Truck of the Year.
