1990 Buick Regal Custom review from North America
"A great car for a young driver or a small family"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Many things went wrong with my Regal. First I had to replace the thermostat (no big deal).
Second I had to replace the front brakes (understandable).
Third I had to replace the tires (old tires, better safe than sorry).
Then I had to replace the front brakes again, and rotors (which were rusted as hell)! The back brakes never seem to get used.
The latest problem was that it ran out of oil and no oil warning light came on. This would not have been a big deal if the car did not spin a bearing at the same time and totally screw up the engine.
General comments?
If you come up against a Regal at a stop light, do not underestimate this car. Looks like an old persons car but it has some power to it.
Unlike what other people have said, I did not have a problem putting an after market radio system in my car. Plus all of my friends thought it sounded great.
Though it seems small, this car has great leg room in the back. My 6'7" friend never seemed to have a problem sitting in back. It is a little difficult to get back there though.
Though I had problems with my car, I really wish I had it back running like normal. I loved that car and had many memories in my ride.
