1997 Rover - Austin 600 Ti review from UK and Ireland
"A wolf in sheeps clothing!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing as yet touch wood!!!
General comments?
Having owned a Cavalier SRI 130 brake horse, prior to this which was fast, I must now say this is the FASTEST non de-script production car I have ever driven (200 Brake horse). The look on BMW 300 Series drivers faces when you leave them standing in a family saloon makes the slight lack of fuel economy well worth while.
This is the ultimate over 40 Boy Racers car with 200 Brake horse power and sleek looks, it fits in with the supermarket run but is still good for the adrenalin rush on the weekends at 0 - 60MPH in 7 Sec and a law breaking 150 MPH Top end.
Only downfall - the cost of the tires. Try one, you'll love it and with only 750,000 Rover 600's ever made and only a hand full of them TI's this is a future classic in the making.
Purchase tip - try and buy one with 600 written on the back not 620TI (less chance of being stolen).
