1979 Land Rover 88 Series III 88" SWB review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch Master Cylinder Seals, Alternator, Drive Shaft UJ, Brake Shoes & Drums, Front Swivels, Track Rod Ends, Front & Rear Wheel Bearings & Hub Oils Seals.
Still Outstanding:- Pinion Oil Seals, Transfer Box Output Oil Seal & Piston Rings To Be Replaced.
General comments?
All the above was carried out shortly after purchase from the original owner, a farmer. I suspect he took more care of the cattle than of the Landie!
There was no service history and I suspect there never was any service! As each new part is restored or replaced my beastie gets more & more lovable. She is not the cheapest to run but she is excellent fun.
