1987 Alfa Romeo 33 Ei review from UK and Ireland
"Undoubtably italian and very poorly built"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Complete electrical failure, cooling problems, starting problems, blown head twice, stuffed and rusty suspension, big holes in the tailgate (from rust), gearbox lost synchromesh, plastic interior falls apart, wobbly guage needles, CV joints worn, rusted chassis members, water leaks, air conditioning unit packed in, bad engine compression, busted power steering unit and brake booster, every niggly little problem you can think of, oil leaks... etc etc etc etc (the list goes on)
General comments?
Not to bad performance or handling wise - when it actually runs.
Basically it rusts away while you watch.
Probably the most unreliable car I have ever owned - typically Italian.
Very uncomfortable ride.
Pedals awkwardly positioned to close together.
Moisture under Paint work causing it to crack exposing rusty holes
Generally shoddy workmanship.
