1993 Dodge Intrepid review from North America
"Highly reliable and comfortable... last on race day"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Normal maintenence items for a car with almost 200,000 miles:
Front struts.
Brakes and rotors.
Front bearings.
Water pump.
Plus, of course all normal wear out items...tires, belts, hoses, etc.
2 recalls, one for the power front seat, and one to increase the strength of the front strut mounts.
General comments?
I put lots of highway miles on this car. I still take it on long trips.
This is the older style body, so the headlights are awful.
What hasn't been replaced on this car has really surprised me. It has the original exhaust system, transmission and engine. No computer problems at all.
However, this car has also had all the suggested service at or before suggested mileage, including oil changes every 3,000 miles.
