1993 Lancia Delta Integrale Evolution III review from Norway
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing serious has gone wrong with the car. I'm amazed but the late Integrales appear to be very reliable, well put together cars (They were actually built by private coach builders as they were so different to the normal Delta they couldn't build them in the Lancia factory).
Handbrake tends to freeze on in cold (-10 deg C) conditions but it can be unfrozen if you reach in front of the rear wheel and 'wiggle' the brake cable.
Front wheels stick outside of the wheel arches which can result in stone chip damage on rear arches if you drive on gravel etc. I have fitted huge mud flaps to front arches.
General comments?
Brilliant car. It would appear that the more expensive late Integrales are well worth buying as they appear to have no problems with rust (they came with a 7 year rust warranty from new) and don't appear to have the same electrical problems as the older cars. Also the most recent cars don't have the ridiculous bank of warning lights to go wrong!
Car is fantastic in snow and ice.
