1961 Morris Minor 1000 2 door saloon review from UK and Ireland

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Coil stopped working. Jacking point needed welding. Front suspension arm needed replacing.

Nothing major or unfixable ever went wrong, plus even I, a WOMAN, could fix it with little help from anyone else.

General comments?

When driving a modern car, you get no experience of engine braking which is very useful.

People stare at you (in a nice way) when you pass them driving a morris minor.

Spares are cheap and there is a good network of garages. The national club is very helpful sending out bimonthly magazines and offering cheap insurance and RAC cover.

They are very reliable and easy to maintain and fix so that even women can fix them (I being one of them.)

The best thing has to be that you must always wave to another morris minor driver when you see them.
