1985 Renault 4 GTL review from Croatia
"Very cheap and durable car with soft bumpers and you got a feeling of sailing in it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel Pump died at 140000km changed it for 10USD!
1 cylinder started to make a quiet nock-nock noise at 170000km
Oil burn is at 0.2L/500km - very cost effective :)
At 172000km replaced the suspensions (90USD) will work at least next 100000km!
Front windows wipers started to quitch, added few drops of grease and it is OK.
I use Euro95 not Leaded98 fuel, no effect on engine work however!
General comments?
Snores like a cat!
7,5L/100KM of Euro95 fuel
It has extremely good acceleration in 1st gear, if you want to be fast in 3th you must collect al least 60km/h in 2nd gear...
Top Speed 130Km/h, but at that speed your hair starts to fly on the wind :)
it shakes a lot if you drive faster than 120km/h
best cost/efficiency is at 70km/h in 4th gear (6,8L/100km)
