1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 review from North America
"One great street racer!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Over the years, only small things went
wrong, such as carburetor failure, water
pump failure, and the like.
General comments?
This 1972 Cutlass 442 was a street racer
of the highest caliber. The performance
was excellent, and in terms of power, it
could have held its own with the best of
today's high performance cars. The only
problem with driving this car today
would be the gas mileage, which was only
about 5 to 6 miles per gallon around
town, and 13 to 14 miles per gallon on
the road. It was a comfortable car to
drive (it had air conditioning), and
went in the snow very nicely with a
limited slip differential and Air Lifts.
The only reason I got rid of it was
because of a cracked frame.
