1995 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"Wouldn't buy another Ford--sorry Ford!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced cheap tires that initially came with the Ford-2 blew in a short time--bought Michelin-also they replaced gas tank as it made a gawdawful CLONK noise when you would come to a stop! They said it was the redesign tank so they gave me a different gas tank--this was what I was told--under the warranty.
Needed to replace speedometer under 30,000 miles --that was a surprise!
Car went galloping down street and became very difficult to stop!!!--needed something cleaned--could have been the recall item??--scary!
Recall fan was fixed.
Right now at almost 60,000 miles the parking lights won't turn off so had to unhitch battery and now I will have to redo anti-theft system--sigh.
Don't buy DARK colors--shows every stupid scratch and gets dirty very quickly.
General comments?
I like the 6 cylinders--and the seats are made for big rumps and are comfy. But too many oddball items went out at a very few miles! And when it started going galloping down the street semi--out of control I was not a happy camper.
