1997 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"A poor excuse of american quality, PERIOD"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Visor on driver's side falls off
dealer repairs no charge.
Engine stalls and cuts off at 51,000 miles.
Engine overheats at 52,000 miles
had to have coolant tank and thermostat
replaced...and car still runs hot.
Top of the line stereo system has poor
front speakers.
General comments?
When I traded my 81' eldo for the 97'
malibu, i thought I was getting a gold mine of a car.
This car has poor flimsy cheap plastic
material that snaps and breaks easily.
The only positive about this car is it
has a V-6 that's great on perfomance.
I will be glad to going back to owning
cadillacs real soon.
