2002 Nissan Primera SVE estate review from UK and Ireland
"Some clever hi tech equipment, pity about the engine"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Chose a diesel to try and get more than 38 MPG which I used to get on the kind of driving that I did in my last primera (1.8 sport) but I'm only getting 35, out of a diesel!
The response has been appaling from the dealership who are not at all helpful and have had the car 4 times now and still can't fix the problem. I've also tried 3 other identicle models and they've all been just as bad, which is very worrying. I can't even get more than 40 to the gallon at a constant 70 MPH on the motorway.
General comments?
This is my 7th Nissan, but I will not be buying one ever again, as the customer support from both the dealership and direct from Nissan has been appuling.
Apart from that the engine is very punchy and smooth.
The car handles excellently for an estate, not quite as crisp as the old model, but still impressive for a big car.
Some of the "toys" that come with the SVE model are very clever, such as rear view camera etc and sat nav etc.
