1992 Seat Ibiza GLX review from UK and Ireland
"A fast, reliable hot-hatch!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Head gasket blew due to faulty fan switch.
Fuel pump pipe split - v. cheap to fix.
Carburettor blocked up - jets needed cleaning.
Exhaust has small hole near front - gives an excuse to put a performance pipe on though!!
General comments?
This car is certainly one of the better looking ones of its type, much better than most other hatchbacks.
System Porsche engine really packs some punch in the mid-to-high rev ranges, cruises comfortably at 80mph, tops out around 118-120.
Interior looks a bit dated, nothing some seat covers and a new gearknob can't fix.
Very hard-wearing, if you see one going cheap grab it with both hands!!
