1976 Oldsmobile 98 Regency review from North America
"The best car I ever owned!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The transmission was rebuilt shortly before I purchased it (from a friend).
The removable fender skirts rotted out, and so did the GM replacements that I bought when I repainted the car.
The dashboard cracked, but so did every other 1976 AND 1975 model I ever saw.
The radio with 8 track player needed to be replaced.
The doors sagged on my 2 door model, and the frameless windows didn't seal properly, the drivers window whistled at high speeds.
General comments?
This car was the BEST car I ever owned, I should have garaged it forever.
It gave the smoothest ride of any car, period.
Plenty of power, it cruised at 80 MPH & you couldn't tell the speed.
Very quiet engine.
The trunk was massive, about 8 times the size of cars made today.
