1989 Nissan Pulsar review from North America
"If the purchase is for a year or two, Perfect bargain. Will save you a lot of taxi"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator let me down at 216000 km.
The transmission synchros are letting go pretty fast. Only 4 gears work properly.
Piston rings are almost completely used out. Burns a lot of oil.
Power steering oil leaks.
General comments?
This car is not really a performance car, but if you give him some power, you could be suprised of what the little engin can give in return.
Rust is definitely a problem. Even if the last owner repaired a lot of rust holes and had the paint redone, it is still coming out from every where.
Overall, a very good car if you take in consideration that it is 13 years old and that the body has 227000 km.
