1982 Ford Fairmont XE Ghia review from Australia and New Zealand
"Best car you could own"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My head gasket blew two days after purchasing the car.
The Transmission was stuffed when I purchased the car. But after a Reco transmission it was all good.
General comments?
I purchased the car from a young kid who lost his licence. It's a 1982 Ford Fairmont Ghia. It's a XE with is weird since the XD was still around then. The car handles like a tank, but I love it. Soo much power for a 250 and it's a joy to drive. I have rebuilt the car from ground up and I love it. I have a website www.fspaustralia.cjb.net which has pictures and information if anyone is interested. I also have a '83 Ford Falcon S-Pack, '79 Ford Falcon XD GL, '82 Ford Fairlane.
