1983 Suzuki SJ410 SJ review from Australia and New Zealand
"An outstanding adventure vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seats had worn out by the time I purchased the vehicle.
A few rust spots underneath the body due to previous owner's neglect.
Seals in the engine also wear out and begin to leak oil every 6 months or so, but its not expensive to sort out if serviced regularly.
General comments?
A great project car to make your own modifications to at low costs.
I fitted a winch and new bull-bar, converted the doors to be quick-removable, mounted a spare tyre on the bonnet and a jerry can on the back tail gate and had a custom roof-rack made by a friend.
Even with a 4-speed manual transmission and 1.0L engine, it is a go-anywhere machine that is totally reliable and very capable.
