1970 Dacia 1100 review from Romania
"A car for a lifetime"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The water pump cracked and I replaced it with one from a Dacia 1300.
The radiator was also broken, but I was able to fix it.
Because the water pump cracked, I overheated the engine and I needed to change the engine set.
I also needed to go with the car at a brazier to repair some holes in the floor. And also it needed some paint.
General comments?
This car belonged my grandpa who left it in desolation for about 7-8 years.
When I took the car, after I put in oil, cleared the spark plugs and put in a new accumulator, the car started at the first try.
Despite the 45 HP engine, this car has good traction (the traction is on the back wheels). Even though it has the default 145 tires, the stability is very good.
This car has excellent direction!
The spare parts are very cheap, although it is very hard to find some of them.
After I repaired the car I had no more problems.
