1988 Nissan Skyline GTS Turbo review from Australia and New Zealand
"A rare cruiser/grand tourer with an entertaining drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Injectors needed cleaning cos put wrong petrol in it. Apart from that nothing really.
General comments?
I own a very rare R31 coupe.
This car is not a high performance in todays standards. However is offers a lot more fun than sum sports cars of today. The enigine is the very first of the RB Turbo range and fails to impress due to the lack of torque and a relatively heavy weight of the car. However turbo seems to compensate to the laggines of the engine, but it still feels restricted at high revs. Perhaps fittin of a larger TO4 turbo would make a world of difference. On the good note the car has superb road grip unmatched by many of the hotshots of the '80s. Inside the car is very comfortable and spacious and has all the useful electric gagets.
