2000 Daihatsu Cuore + review from UK and Ireland
"Town pocket rocket"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
Handling is tight and nimble especially around town as it has a very tight turning circle. As mine is a "plus" model it comes with power steering parking it is a dream. This car can also hold its own on the motor and is quite able to keep up with the traffic without the need to thrash the engine, however road noise can be a bit loud depending of the type of road surfaces, but if it is a new road everything is quite quiet and comfortable. I have had it now for two years and there is no rattles or squeaks so far. The dash and interior has a lot of plastics about as you would expect from this class of car however Daihatsu has been some thought put into it unlike some Japanese manufacturers and is quite pleasing to the eye. I particularly like the instrument panel and European column stalk layouts. Build quality is very good, however I would like to see better corrosion resistance and more under-sealing to protect the vehicle from the conditions it has to face in Britain. Mine also has air con, ABS brakes, electric windows and mirrors and central locking and all for under £8.000. Dealer service has been first rate.
