2001 Volkswagen Sharan Comfort review from Sweden
"Great all-rounder"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alarm when off in the middle of the night just after delivery! Clearly a dealer fault.
Extra engine heater leaked cooling fluid in the winter. Badly built in by the dealer. Had to be fixed in two visits due to dealer incompetence!
Inside door handles had paint peeling off and looking very ugly. Was repaired by the dealer. Found a new one after bad experience with the first one. This one is MUCH better.
General comments?
Bought the car because of the seven seats. Never liked MPV's. Car is a great surprise. Handles nicely like a car and not a van, is fast and brakes well. Great Air-conditioning. Seats in the back are more suitable for children because of the high floor. This should be changed.
Very pleased with the car in general.
