1984 Mitsubishi Cordia AA GSR review from Australia and New Zealand
"Cheap V8 Killer"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I bought the car, about three months ago, it had a fair amount of rust, but a bit of work later (including a new hatch) and it was looking like new.
I also fitted the AC tail-lights and grille (off my 1986 GSL) as they give the car a better appearance (tail-lights are darker).
General comments?
I must admit that the handling is very good, but nothing compared to the GSL. It could have something to do with the power steering in the GSR.
I haven't actually driven the GSR too hard yet, but, it does hammer.I'm a bit worried about damaging the turbo.
Very quick off the mark and on the highway, the Cordia turbo is fuel efficient and an all round good performance vehicle.
If you're looking at buying one... go for it. You won't regret it.
I only paid $600- for mine and it was worth every cent... and a bit more.
