1988 Volvo 740 GLE review from UK and Ireland
"QC (abreviation of Quality Counts) and Volvo has Quality that counts"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have always had either Volvo cars or Ford Vans as both to me are the best anyone could want, I have only had Volvo cars and estates as they are only cars I can rely on for being solid body and comfort
I have always preferred the automatic I like the quick take off and love the cruising control one has with the car, in UK we have to get Ministry of Transport tests (MOT) my MOT this year cost me £200 to get car repaired and passed, my only problems were Brakes had to renew all and and also steering rack which is good for such an old car, my hardest problem to cope with is when have electrical problems that's time consuming to find cures, last year couldn't get indicators to work and problem was at Control unit, but a bit paper cured problem wedged in between units, my worse problem just recently is the speedo sometimes it works and sometimes it don't the wiring has been checked, but can't find fault there, but always when I go over a bump it will start to work and then stops,, I was thinking it may need a new unit somewhere, but so far no one can tell me
what problem can be,,,but other than that the car is ace to drive and roomy
I am a volvo740GLE driver and proud of my car, but can someone tell me how to fix this problem, also I'm searching for car manual that is given with the Volvo740GLE id like to know what all buttons are for. for comfort id give 10,
for speed id give 10, quality of body 10
economy is OK just gas in UK is expensive not car.
General comments?
