1992 Nissan Primera 2.0 dlx review from UK and Ireland
"Reliable, dreadfully slow"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front and rear suspension drop links replaced at 40k they were squeaking.
Front disc's at 80k.
Front pads about every 16k.
Rear tires last ages, front ones every 25k
rear shoes at 90k.
Alternator, and exhaust at 100K
alternator again at 110k this was due to using a cheap (relative to Nissan costs) repair the first time.
Oil change every 6 months
Timing belt changed @ 54k and 100K
Fuel filter every two years.
General comments?
Very reliable..
Very slow, Top gear described it as a slug, which is about correct.
Now getting slower as it's getting older any clues why anybody?
Not smoking @ all and uses no oil
Superb road holding
Does about 42MPG and has always done so. which is not as good as some get from these diesels
Nissan parts are somewhat expensive,
but I've not needed too many.
