1979 Buick LeSabre Standard review from North America
"A stylish, reliable, road goddess"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The fuel pump was leaking at the time my best friend gave it to me.
The speedometer needle bounces between 45 and 50 occasionaly, but with 252xxx miles, who cares?
There are two small rust spots on rear quater panels from midwest winters, but she is on her way to be fixed.
General comments?
This car is one of the last of the big American classics. She handles very competently, and eats up bumps before the passengers are aware of them.
The old 301 V8 accelerates thru traffic and onto the highway like the day it was bolted between her frame rails.
The old Buick style is still appreciated as I recieve compliments and offers everyday. The president and CEO of my roomates company even took time away from his desk to walk around the buick a few times and ask questions about her.
I can pack a weekends worth of gear inside the trunk, and I don't pack light.
