2002 Peugeot 307 XS review from Switzerland
"High tech compact car under development"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starting problems. Dealer's computer said starter is OK.
Doors lock and unlock themselves while driving along.
Central locking unlocks the car sometimes.
Center console and driver's door rattle.
Foot carpet detached from driver's foot-well.
Front light leaks in rain.
Passenger's seat locks not properly.
The CD changer skips on the last CD.
The automatic windscreen wiper is always too active.
General comments?
The car has a good handling, a lot of space.
The luggage area is pretty good.
The A/C is excellent. Performance is medium.
The 307 has a very poor build quality and a low reliability.
The dealer is not able to fix complex electronic problems.
The idea of Peugeot for a spacious high-tech compact car is praiseworthy.
But the idea is not realized. This car has a bad quality and the worst reliability I've ever seen. No dealer is able to repair a car being under development.
