1983 Alfa Romeo Alfasud Ti review from Malta
"A 1983 super car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator doesn't charge at the proper voltage after a good run.
Loads of electrical faults.
Rust! (no comment)
Fuel gauge fails to work in order under 12 litres of fuel.
Tyre wear on inner side of front wheels.
Connecting rod shells got eaten up after running the engine at high revs.
General comments?
Although the car gives me some minor problems I still love it.
Road handling is great, even at high speeds. Acceleration is very good although for a long distance run the 5th gears tends to close due to a low gearbox thus giving you no more possible top speed unless you want to over rev it.
One last thing, for that time, the dashboard was very great, and still great today. One bad comment about it is that you can't fit a radio properly. No.1 the pocket is to large for a normal radio to fit in. No.2 You will not be able to use the air vent for cold/hot air under the dashboard if a radio is fitted.
