1970 Cadillac DeVille Hardtop Sedan review from North America
"Fifties style, Seventies Car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Paint was shot when I got it. Replaced A/C compressor and valve cover gaskets and did a brake job- after that no big troubles.
General comments?
This car was the standard issue De Ville Ironically my Buicks Had more "stuff" in them, But no matter This was an honest to God pre-gas crunch Cadillac! perhaps the last connection to the 1950's classics The 1970 Caddilacs still had visible fins and that great imposing Caddy grille, the pillarless roof and frameless door windows! She rode a wheelbase at 129.5 inches (longer than whole cars now!) The Lines were sleek for it's size and the interior almost as airy as a convertable with all of the windows down.
If you want a Classic Cadillac that can still be a "Driver" find one of these years (1969-1970) It my not be lightning off the line, but it does have the tourque to haul your boat or a small building around!
