1998 Kia Mentor II GLX review from UK and Ireland
"Cheap - you get what you pay for!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Audio System constantly rattled from the days it was picked up from the dealer till the day is was sold.
The power mirror switch fell out of the dashboard.
Driver's seatbelt came away from the stalk!
Glove Box constantly rattled.
Rubber seal around doors came off.
Vehicle is heavy on front brake pads.
Excessive tyre wear.
The engine fault light comes on when the car is driven through water.
The power door locks locked and unlock themselves 1,000's of times by themselves. The dealer said this frequently happens to Mentor's, especially in cold weather.
The paint chips off very easily.
The bumbers aren't able to take any sort of impact without shattering.
The starter motor was replaced twice, and still the car kept cutting out.
General comments?
