1975 Holden Utility HJ review from Australia and New Zealand
"Buy one someone spent money on or don't bother"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine doesn't appreciate high revs for very long when getting tired.
3 major gearbox rebuilds.
3 new clutches 11 inch.
2 sets unis (gearbox destroyed 1 set)
2 sets points.
2 coils.
17 new tires.
Smokey motor uses lots oil.
2 diffs.
New ignition barrel.
G grids roll off rim way too easily.
General comments?
Under steers chronically.
Slow and heavy to turn with spool.
My rollcage makes getting in and out harder.
No door trim makes traveling rough.
Worst car ever owned.
