1986 Nissan Bluebird SLX review from UK and Ireland
"Top value for money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The shock absorbers.
Rear calipers.
And steering rack have all had to be replaced.
The gas struts for the boot need replacing.
Get it with air conditioning. It gets real hot inside during the summer.
General comments?
A real bargain of a car, cheap to insure (group 6, that's the same as a Nova).
Good economy if driven politely, evan at the high millage it still flys down the motorways at 70 and uses about 15litres per 200 miles.
Drive it hard and it just won't respond. This car was not built for aggressive driving. That said the handling is very secure if not amazing.
The brakes are the best I have experienced and that includes modern cars. The 13 inch disks on the front bring the car to a halt in an alarmingly short distance.
