1995 Hyundai Accent review from North America
"Great Student/First Car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Paint faded on the outside mirrors. Took a 2.99 can of black spray paint at Advance Auto and she looked good as new.
Driver seat wore out. The metal started sticking my back! That's OK. My car is red and Big Red (that's what I call my 2 door Accent)
got some Hawaiian car seat covers. It goes with that Marlboro Red (looks pink) color.
My Hyundai did not have A/C. It was my first car, and trust me, the last I will every buy without A/C. If she had A/C I would still drive her everyday.
I had to replace a battery twice since I bought the car and before the note was paid, and a new pair of brake shoes. Other than that, she runs fabulous!
General comments?
This car for someone six feet tall is NOT the choice for you. May I suggest a Hyundai Santa Fe (No, I do not work for Hyundai--I am a teacher). It is very very roomy.
The car runs very very well, especially with regular oil and maintenance changes. Because of age, she is a little bit slower. I always felt very confident in my Hyundai. I never had a serious problem with it.
