2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 Ram Air review from North America
"Fun, head-turning car with LOTS of power and style!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Have had the car only 6 months and already had a piece of trim come off one of the convertible top latches.
Had three instances where the air conditioning froze up under high humidity conditions.
There's lots of plastic in the interior which is easily scratched.
The adjustable leather seats are nice, but someone unaccustomed to this type of car might find them very uncomfortable, especially for longer trips.
Don't even think about wedging a normal-sized adult into the back seat - they will NOT enjoy the ride.
General comments?
Great car that's a lot of fun to drive! This is NOT a car for someone that wants cushy comfort and ease of getting in and out of the car. It is a car for someone that loves to drive, appreciates the feel and sound of a beefy 8 cylinder engine, and wants to turn a few heads.
Make sure you have a GOOD radar detector when you drive this car as this car loves to accelerate and speed! When the light turns green, you can be completely through the intersection and half-way down the street before most cars have even started moving. As for highway driving, this car is barely breathing at 70mph!
The car handles GREAT! The 17-inch 50 series tires grip the road well, and the occasional chirp/squeal they emit when you over-accelerate (even when already rolling), just reminds you of how much fun this car is to drive.
