1990 Peugeot 205 GL review from UK and Ireland
"A cracking first/second car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Parts can be quite expensive.
The tracking can be easily knocked out causing premature, uneven tire wear.
The sunroof leaks a bit.
The engine leaks a bit of oil.
General comments?
Despite many attempts to shift the back end round corners it sticks to the road like glue!
Despite only having an 1100cc engine the 1.1GL feels very nippy.
Considering there is no power steering, the steering is stupidly light for a front wheel drive vehicle.
I would say that the 205 1.1GL is a great learner/first car - cheap insurance, 400+ miles to a tank of fuel.
