1988 Holden Commodore Excutive review from Australia and New Zealand
"Cheap car to buy and to run and you get excellent performance out of the Buick 6"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I haven't had the car for long, but not much has gone wrong with it. The motor is a bit noisy at times, but this is a common problem with the vn's and vp's.
I know my steering rack is nearly going so that will have to be fixed soon as the sterring is very sensitive and dangerous when at high speeds.
General comments?
The car has excellent performace for a 3.8L V6 and can beat just about most cars of the lights except for those rice burners. It is a excellent first car for all those P platers out there as it is good on the fuel and has great performance. Manual makes a big difference in take off, but it also depends how quick you are on the gears. The only really down side to this car is that you chew through tyres really quick if you drive like me.
