1998 Lincoln Mark VIII review from North America
"A wonderful classy automobile"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The button on the shifter for the over drive quit working dealer replaced.
The car would not blow warm air dealer replaced blending door and blower motor.
The chrome on the grille started to peel
dealer replaced.
The seal around windshield leaked dealer repaired.
General comments?
This is one of the nicest cars I think I've ever owned.
It handles wonderfully and has quick acceleration.
My only worry is it being rear-wheel drive although it does have traction control. I have decided not to drive it in the winter.
I looked at them in 1998 when I found out this was going to be the last production year for the mark viii. But did not want to spend the 45000 for one. I now have one with 27000 miles and only paid 17000 for it.
I love my Lincoln mark viii.
