1989 Oldsmobile 98 Royale review from North America
"A low cost reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The alternator went out at about 150000 miles.
The AC compressor had to be replaced at 150000 miles and the blower was replaced at 162000 miles.
General comments?
The car is in excellent condition for being 13 years old. It still rides as smooth as the day I got it, even up to 85 MPH.
I still get 27-28 MPG on the highway and 24 MPG overall combined city/highway. This is an excellent car. I've put little money into it and gotten so much out of it. With normal oil changes and maintenance, this car will run for over 250,000 miles easily! Excellent car.
