1985 Ford Falcon XF review from Australia and New Zealand
"Not the best performing car ever, but a damn good cruiser"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front wheel bearings are on the way out.
The automatic choke got stuck shut this was all fixed for next to nothing.
General comments?
This car is scary in the wet, the 4.1 crossflow is more than willing to spin both wheels and shoot you off the road. My advice is don't go sideways unless your know what you are doing.
However in the dry the car isn't quite as willing to light the tyres up, can't do line lockers, but the car will do a nice doughnut.
This car is a little sluggish off the line however this can be expected, the 3 speed auto is geared high, and the motor is stock, once it gets going you can expect to lay waste to a similar age commodore though.
This car is the ultimate cruiser, sit back in the comfortable roomy interior, wind the windows down and turn up the music.
