1992 Ford Taurus GL review from North America
"I thought my seats were in perfect condition and I liked the design inside"
General comments?
My Taurus has actually been pretty nice to me and very reliable. There have been a few things that went wrong that I caught on to because I listened and and a feel for things. Well one thing that went wrong is it over heated and I had a leak in the radiator and had to tear that all apart and replace with a new one. 700 bucks down the tube! Then I had another problem I never figured out why, but I kept on snapping engine mounts. I never fully figured out why this was happening buy I finally rigged it so it stayed putt, but its not right. I also one night I was far away from home and had the alternator die on me that wasn't fun so I bought a high power one and the car ran great! If you ever have to replace that get the highest power one they have in stock. Lets see, what else oh ya the water pump went once and white smoke went everywhere. I forget how much that was though. Needed shocks and struts, but that was only because I lived down a dirt road! Breaks don't usually last to long anyhow. But other than that the car is pretty comfortable and reliable to start every time and will get you from point A to point B. Don't be hot rodden it like all over, but once in a while is OK.
