1985 BMW 3 Series 316 review from UK and Ireland
"A good car for not a lot of money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The heater matrix stopped working at 136,000 miles, and I had to pay a lot to get the work done. When the heater wasn't working, the car used to overheat badly. Apart from this, I have had no other problems with the car.
General comments?
Although the cheapest of the BMW family to own/run it is still a good handling car, and it is very well built.
