2002 Renault Scenic fidji review from UK and Ireland
"A Stylish economical alternative to a regular car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing wrong yet.
General comments?
First foray in to the mini-mpv market and I'm not disappointed.
My Scenic is comfortable, relatively quick (When necessary) and more economical than the manufacturer claims 51.5mpg as opposed to official figures of 47.9mpg.
I have the updated fidji dci with 205/55 alloy wheels and revised cloth interior, which apart from the wheels is a bit of a shame as the previous "Part Leather" trim was far nicer.
Handling is good for a high sided vehicle and road noise is relatively suppressed for such wide tyres.
Dashboard is a bit of a let down though, acres of cheap plastic, hopefully this will be corrected on the next all new Scenic.
A few minor rattles and squeaks from the interior, but I can live with that, after all it's a multi function vehicle so there are a fair few movable parts inside!
Overall very good value for money and Yes I would buy another one especially in the same colour... Platinum silver.
