2002 Fiat Punto Go! review from UK and Ireland
"The newest car I've ever owned and the least reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Doors did not shut properly on purchase.
Engine ECU replaced after car broke down and was completely undriveable.
The CV joint was cracked and wore away the underbody.
The flexibrake hose needed replacing
Airbag ECU replaced.
General comments?
All of this work was carried out under warranty, but courtesy cars could not be provided at such short notice. The 3 year AA/Fiat warranty was useless as they misdiagnosed the faults, refused to provide a courtesy car and would not tow us to a garage on a Monday after the initial tow on a Saturday (NB when the garages were all closed!)
I had a 2000 Punto previously for a few months. This was in the garage for almost half of the time that I owned it. The Fiat dealership were hopeless, every repair was faulty or worse when I collected the car. I was assured this was unusual and got a good deal on the Go1 hence my big mistake in buying another one.
