1994 Jeep Wrangler S review from North America
"Fun and reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
During the 8 years I have owned this vehicle I have had minimal repairs. Some things have gone wrong.
1. At 52,000 the catalytic converter needed replaced (this was later recalled, but Chrysler would not reimburse me for my expense).
2. At 90,000 miles I had the brakes done (first and only time)
3. At 95,000 my water pump was replaces.
4. At 105,00 miles my oil pressure switch and Oxygen sensor was replaced.
5. At 150,000 miles my radiator was replaced.
Of course I had the normal maintenance done as well as several sets of tires and a new battery.
General comments?
This is a very fun and reliable vehicle!
If you like a smooth and comfortable ride, this is not the vehicle for you!
It may be loud and rough riding, but it is fun and will go places most cars can't.
It is very inexpensive to maintain. (I still have the original alternator!)
It is easy to do the maintenance yourself.
Very pleasing to drive with the top down.
Not the most comfortable on long trips, it is very load and not much luggage room.
This has been the best and most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
