1995 Nissan Hardbody Pickup XE review from North America
"You don't have to crawl across the bench seat to unlock the door"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This may sound like an extensive list:
I had my transmission rebuilt at 100k miles.
Starter, alternator, and batter all went out in a 6-month period in 1999.
I've installed new plugs (Bosch Platinum) and a new distributor cap.
I have a K&N air filter. I don't feel much more power, due to the stock exhaust (although I've been known to disconnect it after the catalytic converter...).
This tuck has been in 2 accidents, one with another vehicle, and one with a ditch. I need to align the front end, badly. No body repairs needed or chassis damage because this is a Nissan Hard-body.
Oh yeah, I was mudding near a bayou one afternoon before work and I hit a dip head-on, busting the bottom of my radiator. 500 dollars later and a lesson learned about going auto shops when you're young, I went on my thermostatic way.
General comments?
This is your tpyical to-and-from work tuck.
I've helped many a friend move many a place.
I would like to keep this and begin a career with a Toyota Tundra, but for who I am right now, single and low house payments, I'll stick with this little red driving machine a while longer.
